Caithness Photos A collection of images from Scotland's northernmost mainland county

Pilot House, Wick

This lovely little building overlooking Wick Harbour was donated by Sir Arthur Bignold to the pilots based at Wick’s then-busy harbour. As well as being used to store piloting equipment, it was a prominent place for locals to watch goings-on at the harbour and for fishermen to share news and generally have a good blether.

This photo was taken on the foggy morning of Saturday 5th April, 2014.
